The UC Office of the President (UCOP) Human Resources serves about 2,000 UCOP employees who work in the Bay Area, Sacramento, other parts of California, and as far away as Washington, DC. While most of the nearly 300 UCOP Human Resources/Benefits staff is involved in activities that support UC campuses, medical centers and national laboratories, there are 19 members who are dedicated to providing a full range of human resources and benefits services to UCOP employees, managers and departments. The 19-person UCOP Human Resources department is directed by Rosemary Monroe. The following is a summary of its services: Benefits Services and Workers' Compensation Classification/Compensation Employee Assistance Program Employee/Labor Relations and Vocational Rehabilitation Employment Services UCOP Human Resources is also responsible for local nondiscrimination, equal employment opportunity and affirmative action activities, and for administering UC's policy on employee reasonable accommodation. |
