The Diversity and Employee Programs Office was established in the Office of the President to provide leadership in promoting an inclusive and tolerant workplace throughout the University system and to implement diversity activities for Office of the President staff.

The Diversity and Employee Programs Office offers the following services for UCOP employees and managers to promote a workplace free of discrimination and harassment.

Affirmative Action Plan preparation and implementation for the Office of the President
Consultation on compliance responsibilities, application of AA/EEO policies, laws, and regulations
Diversity training
Investigation of external agency discrimination complaints
Review of appeals of PPSM 70 (Complaint Resolution) decisions pertaining to timeliness and scope
Upon request, referral assistance to other employee service offices
