Wellness: Pilot UCOP Community Supported Agricultural Project
April 13, 2007

The UCOP Sustainability Committee and the UCOP Health Care Facilitator program are looking into a pilot CSA (Community Supported Agricultural) project to bring freshly harvested organic fruits and vegetables every week to the Franklin building. CSA projects allow members to support a farm directly and to get convenient access to fresh seasonal produce along with a newsletter and recipes. We will be working with Full Belly Farm for this pilot project.

Detailed information about the Full Belly Farm CSA project can be found at their website.

Participants can order a box either every week or every other week. The cost will be either $60 for one month (approximately $15 per box) or $188.50 per quarter (approximately $14.50 per box).

This program will require a minimum of 40 participants. Additional locations may be considered if there is enough participation.
