Dear Colleagues:
This week we have news about two of the key initiatives in UCOP's restructuring effort: Institutional Research and Human Resources & Benefits. We're also providing you the latest timeline showing how the various initiatives are progressing.
New Institutional Research unit
Among the new initiatives is a consolidation of functions at the Office of the President that provide institutional research, analysis and reporting. The team responsible for successfully achieving a similar consolidation of functions at UC Santa Cruz is now helping UCOP, in consultation with faculty and many UCOP data users and providers, to develop a detailed design for the new unit. The next step in the process is the classification and posting for the director position. Please watch the job listings for this new position.
Human Resources & Benefits updates
Last week Judy Boyette updated HR&B staff about the many initiatives ongoing in their department, including the review of alternate models for benefits administration and the development of a new organizational design. You can read Judy's message and find more information about what's happening in HR&B at http://ucop.edu/humres/redesign.
