Training, Sign-up for New UCOP Pre-Tax Commuter Benefits Program Now Available
As you may know, the contract agreement with our current commuter services vendor, Wage Works, will expire as of June 30, 2009. If you would like to take advantage of pre-tax commuter benefits beginning July 1, you will need to sign up with our new vendor, Commuter Check Direct (Accor Services). The deadline for July benefits is June 5.
*Note to Franklin St. garage parking participants*
- If you currently park in the Franklin St. garage, you still need to sign up with the new vendor and choose the Franklin St. garage as your parking election.
- If you are NOT currently parking in the Franklin St. garage but would like to, please contact the Work Management Center prior to signing up to check space availability:
Training
To make this transition as seamless as possible for UCOP employees, we will be offering training sessions to aid you with setting up your new account and elections.

Sign-up and Place Oders
Training is not required in order to set up your new account. Registering and placing orders is easy:
- Go to: https://www.commutercheckdirect.com
- From the main landing page, select New Participant from the menu on the left of the page.
- To register, you will need the following information:
Company ID: 1259
First Name:
Last Name:
Date of Birth (MM/DD):
Zip Code: - Once you have entered this data, you will advance to another page where you are asked to enter your personal demographic information, set your password, and set your username. Note that this is the information we will use to contact you and mail your orders. The system will send email reminders about your orders as well, so make sure to enter a valid email address.
All information must match your employer’s payroll records at the time of eligibility; this information is used to authenticate you as a user in the system. So, if your employer’s payroll records list you as James instead of Jim, you will want to enter James in the first name field. If you have any trouble with the process, please contact Customer Support at 888.235.9223.
Important Registration Tips
Username: Must consist of at least 6 characters (symbols are okay, spaces are not)
Password: Must consist of at least 6 characters
Once you have registered, you may place your order. Please note that transit pass items must be ordered separately. For example, if you choose to order a transit pass (such as Muni, or BART), and a Commuter Check for the balance of your order – each of these products must be ordered separately.
